Hospital auxiliary offers scholarship

The Douglas County Hospital Auxiliary will award a scholarship paid directly to the recipient’s school of choice. The purpose of the scholarship is to encourage an individual to seek continued education in a health-related field, to promote the improved quality of patient care, and to encourage employment at Douglas County Hospital.

To qualify for this scholarship, a student must have successfully completed one year of formal education in a health-related field or demonstrate a sincere interest. Preference may be given to students residing in the area served by Douglas County Hospital. The student must also demonstrate a financial need.

The Auxiliary Scholarship Committee is responsible for the selection of the recipient of this scholarship. The committee will be responsible for reviewing the criteria for all areas relevant to this scholarship.

Applications must be received by May 1. The scholarship will be awarded no later than August 1.
