The honors continue to roll in for Parkers Prairie senior Sari Noga.
Noga’s jersey was recently sent to the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame in Knoxville, Tennessee to hang in the Hall’s “Ring of Honor” for a limited time. The honor is in recognition for her play this past season where she averaged close to 25 points and 12 rebounds per game.
The “Ring of Honor” is the Hall’s way of recognizing some of the most talented young basketball players around the country for their achievements. Currently there are more than 100 jerseys on display, including high school athletes and college All-Americans from the 2008-09 season.
“Without a doubt, Sari is definitely a part of an elite group and a part of history now, too,” the Hall’s Director of Basketball Relations Karen Tucker said in a written statement.
Noga was also named the Gatorade Minnesota Girls’ Basketball Player of the Year, the Associated Press Player of the Year and is a finalist for the Ms. Minnesota Basketball Award.
