The new Osakis Public School cafeteria has been a busy place in the last couple of weeks as crews worked to install the terrazo flooring. While the flooring came together, new kitchen appliances were set up in the kitchen area – through the doors, toward the back of the room. The project is progressing nicely, according to Chris Honzay, construction manager. The north parking lot, which has been used as a construction staging area throughout the project, will be cleared for use during Osakis High School graduation June 5. Construction for the new north parking lot will begin the following week. The new cafeteria, commons area, parking lot and new high school entrance will be open for student use next fall.
