Dodgeball tournament raises $1,222 to fight hunger

The newspaper recently received updated information about "Battling Hunger" dodgeball tournament organized by Alexandria's Jefferson High School Social II class. The tournament, which took place at the Alexandria Technical College gym last Saturday, consisted of 16 teams. It raised a total of $1,122 for the Douglas County Outreach Food Shelf. Culvers helped by donating one-third of its profits from its food sales at the tournament. The wining team was Nippin Geno's. Members received gift cards donated by Fat Daddy's and a trophy donated by Cowing Robards.
