Driver improvement refresher course offered
The Minnesota Highway Safety Center will offer the following 55+ driver improvement four-hour refresher courses.
The Minnesota Highway Safety Center will offer the following 55+ driver improvement four-hour refresher courses:
• Tuesday, April 13 – 6 to 10 p.m. at Parkers Prairie High School in Parkers Prairie.
• Thursday, April 15 – 5 to 9 p.m. at Calvary Lutheran Church, Alexandria.
The courses are open to the public; pre-registration is requested. A Minnesota Highway Safety and Research Center certified instructor teaches the class. Participants will be provided the latest information regarding driver safety, new laws and vehicle technology.

Persons 55 and older who complete the course qualify for a 10 percent discount on their auto insurance premiums for three years. First-time participants must complete the initial eight hours of training and a four-hour refresher class every three years to maintain the discount.
