JHS Marching Band drum majors selected
The Alexandria Marching Band recently announced the appointment of Rachel Astrup and Sarah Peper as drum majors of the 2010 Marching Band.
The Alexandria Marching Band recently announced the appointment of Rachel Astrup and Sarah Peper as drum majors of the 2010 Marching Band.
Astrup is a junior saxophone player and is the daughter of Mark and Cheryl Astrup. Peper is a senior trumpet player and is the daughter of Dave and Karla Peper.
Both were selected after an audition process that involved directing, marching, a questionnaire and JHS teacher evaluations.
This summer, the Alexandria Marching Band will be performing an all-classical music show entitled Segue. The music will include works by composers Mozart, Rossini, Bach, Beethoven, Saint Saens, Wagner, Bizet and Tchaikovsky.
