Christopher Alan Jones, 28, of Frazee has been sentenced to four years in prison for failing to register as a sex offender.
He was charged in Becker County District Court with two felony counts of violating the predatory offender registration law.
According to court records, he was adjudged delinquent of second-degree criminal sexual conduct in 1997 and required to register as a sex offender until 2017.
His last registered address was in Osage, but he lived on Jackson Avenue in Detroit Lakes from December of 2008 to May 2009, and he has lived in Frazee since June, without registering either address with authorities as required.
He appeared March 15 before District Judge Peter Irvine, who sentenced him to 24 months in prison on each count, to be served consecutively.
Credit was granted for jail time served, and a $100 fine must be paid from prison earnings.
