Speech team members do well at meet
The Alexandria speech team, with a small roster due to break, finished in the middle of 20 teams at the Sauk Centre Invitational on March 6.
The Alexandria speech team, with a small roster due to break, finished in the middle of 20 teams at the Sauk Centre Invitational on March 6.
More than 200 speakers competed in 13 events, meeting in three rounds followed by a final round of the top eight in each category.
Top finishers for Alexandria were Caroline Roers, 1st place in Great Speeches; Katelyn Steffel, 2nd place in Poetry; Sari Gaugert, 4th place in Informative; Hayley Thull, 6th in Creative Expression; Alex Blaser, 8th in Extemporaneous Reading.
