The Runestone Raceway Go-Kart Association will be holding an informational meeting for the general public on Saturday, March 6, from 1-3 p.m. at the Broadway Ballroom in Alexandria. There will be karts on display.
The association will be hosting the Northland Tour Dirt Series for the second consecutive year, with the tour event being held July 31-August 1. More than 100 visiting racers were on hand for the event last year.
The association is a non-profit 501c3 organization that originated in 1978. More than 75 karts were registered to race at the Runestone oval last season. There is no cost to spectators during the racing season.
The 2010 season will open on May 1 with rookie day, which is just for racers who have never raced before.
Test and Tune day will be May 7 and the season opener is set for May 21.
