LaRae Walters, 76

LaRae Ann Walters, 76, formerly of Alexandria, died peacefully February 20, 2010 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

LaRae was born September 30, 1933 in Alexandria to Carl and Ellen (Johnson) Stoeck.

She married Warren Walters and to this union they had two children, Peter and Debi. LaRae worked and volunteered at Douglas County Hospital for many years. Later, after moving to Arizona, she worked at Target. After retiring in 2003 from Target, she moved to Utah.

LaRae was a long time member of Lyra Chapter #166, Order of the Eastern Star, where she made many lifelong friends. LaRae loved to read, knit, fish, play cards and most of all spend time with family and friends.

LaRae is survived by her children, Debi (Steve) Michaels of Cambridge, and Peter (Ayne) Walters of Salt Lake City, Utah; grandchildren, Luke, Zach and Hank Michaels, Bailey Walters, Angel Anderson and Amber (Bo) Rackham; great-granddaughter, Allissa Anderson; many family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Boris.

The family would like to thank Bryon and the staff of Bristol Hospice and Bennion Care Center for the care, kindness and time they gave our mother.

Order of Eastern Star services are scheduled for Saturday, March 6 at 1:30 p.m. at Anderson Funeral Home.

Memorial services are scheduled for Saturday, March 6 at 2:30 p.m. at Anderson Funeral Home.

Visitation will be Saturday, March 6 starting at 1 p.m. at Anderson Funeral Home.
