Honor Guard commended

Douglas County Board Chair Paul Anderson (left) presented members of the Douglas County Sheriff’s Honor Guard with a Certificate of Recognition from Douglas County for their participation in the funeral for Alexandria Police Office Patrick Callaghan. Anderson said, “This was a tear jerker and your group conducted themselves in such a professional manner. It reminded me of Arlington – you were that professional. We present you with a Certificate of Recognition for your dedication and service, and are proud of the manner in which you represented Douglas County.” Four of the six Honor Guard members were present during Tuesday’s regular board meeting, including (left to right) Kevin Wiseman, Art Vinson, Paul Trautman and Brandon Chaffins. Ron Boyden and Bob Peper were not present.
