Tri-State Manufacturers to meet in Parkers Prairie
The March 2 breakfast meeting of the Tri-State Manufacturers’ Association will feature a presentation from Matt Kramer of the University of Minnesota on “Business Resources at the University of Minnesota.”
The March 2 breakfast meeting of the Tri-State Manufacturers’ Association will feature a presentation from Matt Kramer of the University of Minnesota on “Business Resources at the University of Minnesota.”
During the presentation, participants will learn how to take advantage of resources at the university, many of them free, that can help their company succeed. Resources include those general to any business and solutions and services that are specific to
manufacturers.
The meeting and presentation are scheduled from 7:30 to 9 a.m. at the Prairie Events Center in Parkers Prairie.
Following the breakfast meeting, participants are invited to tour Urbank Machine at 9 a.m. The 26,000-square-foot plant houses nearly two dozen turning centers and enclosed vertical mills, a recently installed horizontal mill, and an array of equipment used for mold making and repair.
Following the tour, Dan Nelson, of T.D. Nelson, will lead the Tri-State Quality Council. This meeting will run from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at Urbank Machine with a presentation about “New School ISO 9000.” The quality council meeting is open to members and non-members at no cost.
