Local police and area drug task force officers have been busy lately, announcing another multiple-arrest sting involving the alleged sale of methamphetamine and cocaine in the Wadena area.

On Friday, Feb. 5, narcotics agents with the West Central Minnesota Drug Task Force, Wadena Police Department officer and Wadena County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Nathan Daniel Eide, 20, Elmer Pressley Boyd, 54, Nathan Lee Adams, 53, and Jerell Montrae Hammond, 33, all of Wadena. Each was charged with second-degree conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine and/or cocaine.

Wadena Police Chief Bruce Uselman described in a press release a “lengthy investigation into the sale of cocaine and methamphetamine in the Wadena area.”

The release said over the course of several months, officers gathered intelligence through the use of informants and set up controlled buys of narcotics. When officers moved in with a raid, they allegedly found meth, drug paraphernalia, packaging materials and scales commonly used in the distribution of controlled substances.

It’s the third major drug bust of 2010 in Wadena.
