Crash sends three to hospital
Three people were transported to Douglas County Hospital following a one-vehicle crash early Saturday morning.
Three people were transported to Douglas County Hospital following a one-vehicle crash early Saturday morning.
Shortly after 3 a.m., the Douglas County Sheriff’s office received a report of a crash near the intersection of County Roads 22 and 6 east of Garfield.
The driver of the vehicle, Joshua Oberg, 19, of Garfield, along with his two passengers, Zachary Guthmiller, 18, of Hutchinson and Ashley Anderson, 15, of Garfield were treated and released from Douglas County Hospital following the crash.
The sheriff’s report indicated that Oberg was driving southbound on County Road 6 and at the intersection with County Road 22 the vehicle left the roadway and struck an embankment, causing it to overturn.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation by the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.
Assisting the sheriff’s office at the scene were North Ambulance and the Garfield First Responders.
