Woman from Mentor killed in snowmobile crash
A Mentor, Minn., woman died early Sunday in a snowmobile accident in Red Lake County, Minn., the Sheriff’s Department said in a news release.

Authorities said that at 12:37 a.m. Sunday, Red Lake County received a 911 cell phone call from Polk County reporting a snowmobile crash north of Mentor on Red Lake County Road 12.
About 1:03 a.m., Denise Gagner, 50, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Based on initial investigation, it was learned Denise Gagner and her husband, Ron Gagner, had been driving separate snowmobiles south along County Road 12, the release said.
Traveling on her 2002 Skidoo, Denise Gagner drove off a bank and crashed in the bottom of a large ditch and suffered fatal injuries.
Mentor, Fertile, Minn., and Red Lake Falls ambulances, the Red Lake Falls Fire Department and Polk and Red Lake County deputies assisted with the accident.
