“Living a Christ-Centered Life” will be the theme of a six-part Lenten series on healthy living, hosted by Shalom Lutheran Church in Alexandria.

The series will be held Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. beginning February 17. A brief worship service will present testimonies from Shalom pastors and members on topics such as Christ at home, Christ at work, and Christ in relationships.

Following worship, a panel from Shalom’s health ministry team will lead a public forum on relating Christ-centered faith to physical, emotional and relational health, as well as issues surrounding the end of life. Topics include stewardship of our bodies, feeling blue and uptight, and how do I know when I’m walking with God?

A community meal featuring healthy food choices will be served prior to worship, from 5:30 to 6:15 p.m. The public is invited to attend all or part of each Wednesday’s offerings.
