A slow moving winter storm dumped deep mounds of snow throughout Douglas County Sunday and Monday, keeping plow drivers, like this one in Alexandria, very busy. Accumulations amounted to at least six inches in Alexandria and winds created much higher drifts. Several rollovers were reported on Interstate 94, along with several other accidents in the city and throughout the county. A semi hauling food rolled over on I-94 west of the Evansville exit Monday night, blocking both eastbound lanes. None of the crashes in Douglas County caused life-threatening injuries. Schools throughout the area were closed Monday and delayed or closed on Tuesday.
