Alex Tech offers child care training

The Alexandria Technical College’s Customized Training Department is offering two child care training classes.

The Alexandria Technical College’s Customized Training Department is offering two child care training classes. A “Supervision is Essential” class will take place Tuesday, February 16 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Alexandria Technical College, Room 205.

Instructors are Rondi Wussow, child development instructor, and Barb Kleinschmidt, Douglas County Social Service licenser.

A child passenger training will be held at Alexandria Technical College on Saturday, February 20 from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m.

Minnesota legislation requires all foster care and child care providers who transport children younger than age 9 to complete three hours of training on child passenger restraint systems. This course meets those requirements and is approved by the Minnesota Office of Traffic Safety.
