The Forum of Fargo-Moorhead published a full-page poster of Minnesota Vikings quarterback Brett Favre that plays off the famous "Hope" art inspired by Barack Obama's presidential run.

The poster, fashioned by Forum graphic artist Troy Becker, was printed on Page C6 of Friday's Forum.

The Forum is doing it for laughs in the run-up to the Vikings Sunday NFC Championship game against the New Orleans Saints. The game's winner goes to the Super Bowl.

Many Vikings fans have attributed much of the team's success this year to Favre, the 40-year-old phenom who is having one of his best seasons after an on-again, off-again retirement.

"It's our hope people will display the posters," said Forum Editor Matthew Von Pinnon. "We just thought we'd have fun with all the hopes area Vikings fans are placing on Favre."

The newsprint posters are only available in Friday's paper. The Obama image is for online comparison and is not part of Friday's poster.
