A spaghetti dinner and silent auction fundraiser for Beau Polensky is set for Sunday, January 31 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Holiday Inn in Alexandria.

In March 2008, Polensky was diagnosed with cancer during an operation in which a tumor on his small intestine was found. After recovery and six months of chemotherapy, he had another surgery a year later to remove a second tumor. This past December, he had a third surgery and will require a fourth surgery and chemotherapy this year.

Polensky and his wife, Erika, have two children, Brevon and Riker. Proceeds will help defray medical expenses for the family.

Adult tickets are available for a suggested donation of $25. Kids 12 and younger are free. Tickets are available at Bremer Bank, Church for the Harvest, Cullen’s Home Center, Eddy’s Interlachen Inn, First Lutheran Church, Glenwood State Bank, Holiday Inn, House of Prayer Church and Subway in Alexandria.

Donations can be made to the Polensky family at Bremer Bank. Supplemental funds provided by Thrivent Financial for Lutherans.
