DICKINSON, N.D. -- An early morning explosion in Dickinson's industrial park west

of town this morning woke many residents and left one building smoldering in rubble.

At about 4:35 a.m., residents awoke to a loud rumbling followed by an

explosion. Dickinson Fire Chief Curt Lefor said there were no fatalities and

it is unclear if there are any injuries.

South of Zeller Construction, what remained of a building lay burning.

Nearby buildings were damaged in the incident.

Senior Patrol Officer on the scene Brian Koskovich said the cause of the

explosion was unknown.

Koskovich said 911 dispatch was flooded with calls from concerned residents,

adding reports thus far show the explosion was heard from 27th Street West

and as far east as Sixth Avenue East.
