December 30

A snowplow caught fire at the Alexandria Airport. It was quickly extinguished.

Ronald Proell of Alexandria was injured when his 1999 Pontiac crashed into a light pole near the intersection of McKay Avenue and Highway 27 East at about 2:30 p.m. He was transported to the hospital by North Ambulance. His condition is not known.

January 1

Two jackets were stolen at Bug-A-Boo Bay the previous night. One was a black Burton snowboarding jacket that contained keys, a cell phone, identification, a camera and $5. The other one was lime green and contained a cell phone and identification.

January 3

A resident reported receiving harassing text messages. The person was advised to contact Someplace Safe.

An officer found a $20 bill on the ground in the parking lot of Super America while making a traffic stop. The money was placed in a Law Enforcement Center safe.

A Play Station 3 was stolen from a residence on 6th Avenue West.

A break-in was reported at an apartment on Broadway. An Xbox, video camera and iPod were stolen.

January 5

A resident on 3rd Avenue West reported that someone broke a lock on a window.

A customer at Walmart poured milk over merchandise, causing more than $300 worth of damage.

December 30

A woman reported that a buffalo was in her yard near Bird Lake Road NE, Osakis.

December 31

A woman lost her ring, possibly at Target or Premiere Video. It had a platinum gold band with three rows of diamonds and a 1.5-carat center stone.

Two snowboards were stolen at Andes Tower Hills.

January 1

A chimney fire was reported at 1602 Scenic Heights Road NE, Alexandria at 8:43 a.m.

January 2

A resident reported that someone was harassing her on Facebook.

A fire engulfed a vehicle parked near Kluver Addition Road SE, Forada. The vehicle was a total loss.

January 4

A chimney fire was reported at a residence near Holmes Avenue in Brandon at 8:13 p.m. The resident declined assistance.

Someone broke the lock off a fish house on Lake Mina and damaged the door. There was nothing inside the house to steal, the owner reported. A nearby fish house was also broken into and a small radio valued at $5 was stolen.

January 5

A buffalo was reported roaming near County Roads 13 and 30 by Carlos.

A fish house on Lake Andrew was broken into with a pry bar and a liter of Black Velvet was stolen.
