Former veteran manager Denny Lorsung will be honored for his contributions to the St. Cloud State University and the SCSU baseball program during the third annual Husky Dugout Club First Pitch banquet.
Lorsung, a graduate of Jefferson High School, was a longtime manager of 27 years for the Huskies after playing for SCSU. He owns the school’s record for most career wins with 546.
Former Twins General Manager Terry Ryan will speak at the banquet on January 16 at the Kelly Inn in St. Cloud.
Ryan served as the Twins GM for 13 years and has been with the team’s front office for almost 25 years. He was named the Sporting News Executive of the Year twice during his time as GM.
“We are very fortunate to have somebody like Terry Ryan come in and support our program,” St. Cloud State University (SCSU) head baseball coach Pat Dolan said. “He is a true legend in Minnesota baseball.”
The First Pitch Banquet will include a social hour, live and silent auction, five-star dinner, the State of the Huskies Address and season outlook from Dolan.
