A Bagley, Minn., man suffered minor injuries Saturday morning after being thrown off a snowmobile, the Minnesota State Patrol reported.

Curtis L. Lewis, 38, was eastbound in the south ditch of U.S. Highway 2 near the Lengby, Minn., rest area when he came down a slope, went airborne and was thrown from a 2001 Polaris 600 XC SP shortly after 9:30 a.m.

Lewis was taken to First Care Medical Services Hospital in Fosston, Minn.

A nursing supervisor said he was in stable condition Saturday afternoon, and she expected him to be released later Saturday or today.
