Douglas County is predicted to receive up to 14 inches of snow in the next two days – today, Wednesday, and tomorrow, Christmas Eve. More snow is likely on Friday and Saturday.
A winter storm warning, which had been scheduled to start Thursday morning, has been changed to take effect at midnight tonight and runs through 6 a.m. on Saturday morning.

This afternoon: A 40 percent chance of snow. Cloudy, with a high near 25. East wind between 13 and 15 mph.
Tonight: Snow. Low around 20. East wind around 14 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100 percent. New snow accumulation of 3 to 7 inches possible.
Thursday: Snow and areas of blowing snow. High near 26. Northeast wind between 14 and 17 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100 percent. New snow accumulation of 3 to 7 inches possible.
Thursday Night: Snow and areas of blowing snow. Low around 24. Blustery, with a north northeast wind between 18 and 22 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100 percent.
Christmas Day: Snow and areas of blowing snow. High near 26. Blustery, with a north northeast wind between 22 and 24 mph, with gusts as high as 32 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100 percent.
Friday Night: Snow likely. Cloudy and blustery, with a low around 10. Chance of precipitation is 70 percent.
Saturday: A 50 percent chance of snow. Cloudy, with a high near 13.
Saturday Night: A chance of snow. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 7.
