Celebrate traditional Christmas at Spruce Hill Church on December 27
The public is invited to the annual old-fashioned Christmas program at the historic Spruce Hill Church in rural Douglas County.
The public is invited to the annual old-fashioned Christmas program at the historic Spruce Hill Church in rural Douglas County.
The annual program is set for Sunday, December 27 at 3 p.m.
However, there will be traditional Christmas music and refreshments beginning at 2:30 p.m., as well as after the program.
Guests are encouraged to come early and enjoy the music, along with a cup of old-fashioned egg coffee.
For handicap accessibility, refreshments will be served in the Sunday School room instead of the church basement.
Area children from the Esther Lutheran Church Sunday School in Miltona, as well as other area churches will share the Christmas story through song and recitations during the program.
Pastor Ann Sorum from First Lutheran Church in Parkers Prairie will share the message of peace and hope, and Diane Alveshere will serve as the organist.
All are welcome to attend what has been hailed as a wonderful afternoon of joy and celebration.
The Douglas County Historical Society is sponsoring the event.
The historic Spruce Hill Church is located just north of County Road 5 in the northeast part of Douglas County.
