Adding cheer to the holidays
The Jefferson High School (JHS) cheerleaders will help support the Toys for Tots campaign.
The Jefferson High School (JHS) cheerleaders will help support the Toys for Tots campaign, which is sponsored by the United Way of Douglas and Pope Counties and the UPS Store of Alexandria. The cheerleaders will collect new, unwrapped toys at the high school office and during games scheduled the weeks prior to Christmas. Toys can be dropped off at any of the following home games or the JHS office: Thursday, December 10, girls’ hockey; Friday and Saturday, December 11 and 19, boys’ hockey; Friday and Saturday, December 11 and 19, girls’ basketball; Thursday, December 17, wrestling; Friday, December 18, boys’ basketball. The United Way will collect the toys and distribute them to local agencies and children, helping them experience the joys of the Christmas season.
