NEW YORK MILLS, Minn. – Brunswick Corp. has named a new president of Lund Boat Co. in New York Mills.
Dirk Hyde will succeed Andrew Klopak, who recently left Brunswick “to pursue other career aspirations,” according to a news release issued Friday by Dan Kubera, director of media relations for Brunswick in Lake Forest, Ill.
Klopak had been with Lund Boats for more than 20 years, the release said.
Lund Boats was started by Howard Lund in New York Mills in 1948 and grew to 500 employees.
Brunswick purchased Lund Boats in 2004 from Genmar Industries.
Hyde currently serves as president of Brunswick’s pontoon boat category and will now have added responsibility for the operations of Lund Boat Co., the release said.
Hyde spent two years as president of Crestliner Boats and was chief operating officer for Attwood Corp., a Brunswick subsidiary.
