Childcare professionals provide this critical service and strive to maintain the highest level of care for our state’s children.
In conjunction with the Week of the Family Child Care Provider, the Minnesota Licensed Family Child Care Association (MLFCCA) is seeking nominations for Provider of the Year and Child Care Advocate of the Year.
This year’s Week of the Family Child Care Provider will kick off at the Ramada Mall of America Airport on April 30 and May 1, 2010. Leaders in the field will be honored for their contributions to Minnesota, educational sessions will be offered to providers and speakers will rally the crowd.
A Saturday evening banquet will honor the Providers of the Year and the Child Care Advocate of the Year.
MLFCCA asks families with children served by licensed family childcare providers to contact their local childcare association or MLFCCA for an application.
MLFCCA is a member of the Umbrella Strategic Alliance (USA), which consists of the Minnesota Association of the Education of Young Children (MnAEYC), the Minnesota Licensed Family Child Care Association (MLFCCA), the Alliance of Early Childhood Professionals (AECP) and the Minnesota School Age Care Alliance (MnSACA).
These are all community organizations with complementary missions revolving around care and education of young and school-aged children, and ensuring that professional development opportunities exist for caregivers of these children.
