Cinderella ballet to be presented at AAAA Saturday

The Alexandria Area Arts Association (AAAA) will present Continental Ballet Company’s production of Cinderella.

The performance is set for this Saturday, November 7 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for those 18 years of age and younger. Tickets can be purchased by calling the AAAA Theatre at (320) 762-8300.

This production of Cinderella is told through the style of classical ballet. There are no speaking parts, as dancers use movement to express an emotion or thought. As is typically done with the ballet version of Cinderella, a couple of the step-family females will be danced by men. This adds a touch of humor to the ballet and guests are sure to find it entertaining.

The ballet tells the traditional story of Cinderella, complete with fairies and a handsome prince.
