Tri-state manufacturing group to meet in Alexandria
The November 3 breakfast meeting of the Tri-State Manufacturers’ Association in Alexandria will feature a presentation from Bruce Miles of Big River Group on “An Improved System for Important Decisions: Way Better Employee Selection and Interviewing Methods.”
The November 3 breakfast meeting of the Tri-State Manufacturers’ Association in Alexandria will feature a presentation from Bruce Miles of Big River Group on “An Improved System for Important Decisions: Way Better Employee Selection and Interviewing Methods.”
During the presentation participants will be guided through a clear and consistent set of steps that reduces search time, allows for more reliable ranking and selection of candidates, uses more accurate interviewing techniques, and promotes a better match between the organization’s needs and the eventual finalist.
The meeting and presentation are scheduled from 7:30 to 9 a.m. at Holiday Inn in Alexandria.
Following the breakfast meeting, participants are invited to tour Douglas Alexandria Finishing at 9:15 a.m. A subsidiary of Douglas Machine, Douglas Finishing specializes in fast, affordable metal finishing solutions, including anodizing, rack and barrel zinc, electro-less nickel and powder coating.
Following the tour, Mike Braml, of Enterprise Minnesota, will lead the Tri-State Quality Council. This meeting will run from 10:15 to 11:30 a.m. at the Holiday Inn with a presentation about “Standardized Work and How it Affects Quality.”
The Quality Council meeting is open to members and nonmembers at no cost.
