Rice meets Obama

Mitchell Rice (front, center) got to meet President Barack Obama when the Make-A-Wish Foundation granted his wish to attend a Major League baseball game.
Mitchell Rice (center, front row) not only had his wish to go to a Major League Baseball granted by the Make-A-Wish Foundation, he also got to meet President Barack Obama and pose for a picture with him. The president put his hand on Mitchell’s shoulder during the photo, which was of a group of children who attended the game through the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Mitchell, the son of Eric and Lori Rice of Alexandria, was diagnosed with leukemia three years ago and just completed his final round of chemotherapy. The children did not know that they were going to meet Obama while attending the game.
