Lake Region Healthcare's Mill Street Residence and Northwoods of Ashby team up

Lake Region Healthcare’s Mill Street Residence in Fergus Falls has entered into a management consulting agreement with Ashby Holdings, LLC to help open Ashby’s new assisted living community, Northwoods of Ashby.

The 16-unit facility, located at 112 Iverson Avenue in Ashby, was originally scheduled to open in July 2008. However, a variety of management and licensure setbacks left it unoccupied for more than a year.

Northwoods of Ashby features eight studio and eight one-bedroom apartments.

Mill Street’s leadership team brings 14 years of successful assisted living management experience to the agreement.

“We will be assisting in developing the programs and services,” said Mill Street Director Mick Siems. “In addition, we also will be helping select and train the facility RN/director, home care aides and cook staff.”

Ashby Holdings is a subsidiary of Paragon Developers based in Moorhead. Mill Street Residence is an assisted living community wholly owned by Lake Region Healthcare Corporation and has been a leader in providing housing and health care related services and assistance to seniors in this community since 1996.
