Tastefully Simple has been recognized by the Wall Street Journal and Winning Workplaces as a 2009 Top Small Workplaces national finalist.
Based in Alexandria, the direct selling company features more than 50 easy-to-prepare foods and gifts. It was ranked among the best small workplaces in the nation – thanks to the company’s strong focus on philanthropy and exceptional benefits for its headquarters team, ranging from an onsite wellness facility to flexible scheduling opportunities.
More than 630 nominations and 330 completed applications were submitted to The Journal and Winning Workplaces by companies nationwide.
“We’re truly honored by this recognition, and we feel very fortunate that Tastefully Simple is able to offer generous benefits and create such an extraordinary, uplifting culture for our headquarters team,” said Vice President of Team Relations Edgar Timberlake. “Each year, we strive to create a better workplace than the year before, and when so many companies across the country are struggling in today’s economy, we’re especially thankful that we’re able to continue this tradition.”
The Top Small Workplaces report, compiled in partnership with Winning Workplaces, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to help small and midsize organizations create better workplaces, highlights small businesses and nonprofits that continue to invest in their people and illustrates the practices they use to create successful organizations. This year, a total of 35 finalists and 15 winners were chosen for this special recognition.
