Letter - Why was house sold?

To the editor:

The community of Parkers Prairie appreciated that George and Ellen Palmer donated their house to Otter Tail County for a “Someplace Safe House,” for those in need of one.

We are not happy that the house, which had a good purpose and was being used, was suddenly closed and put on the market to be sold. It seems to us that this is not right.

Are you, who are reading this, also in favor of saving that house for the purpose it was given? If so, please contact us so that we can work together to save the Someplace Safe House in Parkers Prairie.
