Traffic backs up on I-94 in Fargo after rollover

Emergency responders have cleared the westbound lanes of Interstate 94 in south Fargo after an apparent rollover this morning.

FARGO – Emergency responders have cleared the westbound lanes of Interstate 94 in south Fargo after an apparent rollover.

Dispatchers received a call about 7:30 Tuesday morning about a rollover in the westbound lanes of I-94 near the intersection of South University Drive.

Based on radio traffic between emergency workers, there appeared to be serious injuries. One dispatcher said high school aged students were out of their vehicles at the scene.

One car was on its side by the median dividing the east and west lanes. Firefighters, ambulance workers and the North Dakota Highway Patrol all responded.

Westbound traffic had backed up past Eighth Street South in Moorhead, bringing motorists to a virtual standstill. By about 8:20 a.m., I-94 traffic resumed to near normal.
