Alexienne Chorus to present 'Cornucopia, Savor the Sounds' this Saturday
The Alexienne Chorus, the Alexandria chapter of the Sweet Adelines, will be hosting the group’s annual “Fall Tea.”
The Alexienne Chorus, the Alexandria chapter of the Sweet Adelines, will be hosting the group’s annual “Fall Tea.”
The event, titled “Cornucopia, Savor the Sounds,” will take place Saturday, October 10 at First Lutheran Church in Alexandria. Doors will open at 12:30 p.m. with the concert beginning at 1 p.m.
The chorus will sing its traditional barbershop harmonies and will feature guest musicians, including Josie Nelson, singer and guitarist; Jill Lundeen, singer and guitarist; and Sami Steidl, who will be playing the viola and violin.
There will be a style show featuring styles from Bon Jos, the Garden Gallery and items from local fiber artists.
A silent auction is also planned, featuring such items as gift certificates for restaurants, salons and movie theater passes.
After the entertainment, tea and goodies will be served.
Tickets are $10 and are available at the Scandinavian Gift Shop in Alexandria, as well as from any of the Alexienne Chorus members.
