Letter - Leaning toward socialism
My last letter to the editor got me a lot of flack and a whole lot of compliments. I really am not doing this to antagonize people, but rather am only voicing my opinion.

As partisan as this government is getting, we need to start talking to each other and try working out solutions as much as humanly possible. This is one reason that I favor term limits more now than ever before. We are never going to get anywhere without changing the whole lot of legislators. We all have some favorites we would like to see remain, but things are not going to change unless they are all replaced. If they are out for a short time and come back, I have no problem with that, I can see no way it is going to change as things stand at this time.
I really believe that most of us have the same goal in mind, but as partisan as it is now, no one is going to let the other party take credit for anything.
There are always going to be issues such as abortion, gay rights, same sex marriage, immigration and the like, but unless we start talking to each other, nothing is going to change. I will have to admit, the more I talk to people, the more I am hearing that the people who voted for our President Obama are starting to wonder if they really made the right choice.
It surely looks like the goal of this administration is leaning toward socialism and I don’t believe that is what we need. We definitely need to improve health care for the needy, but let’s not destroy the health care that the majority of the people already have. We can fix it without putting the government in charge. There aren’t too many programs that have been successful with the government in charge.
