Productive Alternatives to honor Alex Extrusion

Productive Alternatives will culminate its 50th anniversary celebration with a 50th Gala at Arrowwood Resort on Saturday, October 10.

Productive Alternatives will culminate its 50th anniversary celebration with a 50th Gala at Arrowwood Resort on Saturday, October 10.

Social hour will be from 6 to 7 p.m. followed by the dinner at 7 p.m. and a recognition program from 7:45 to 8:15 p.m.

Jonathan Moeller, a native of Parkers Prairie and a graduate of McNally Smith College of Music and Mankato State, will entertain during the social and dinner hour with classical and jazz pieces.

A silent auction with Twins, Wilds and Vikings items, Timberwolves tickets, a Tastefully Simple basket, jewelry pieces by Joy From the Heart from Lake Elmo, collector coins, a movie package and more will go on from 6 to 7:45 p.m.

The evening is to celebrate the 50 years of service and programming that Productive Alternatives has provided to thousands of people with disabilities over the years.

Twelve employers will be honored with an “Employer of the Year” award, including the Alexandria Extrusion Company.

The gala will also serve as a fundraiser for the agency while focusing on thanking the many individuals, organizations, staff and businesses that support PA in many ways.

Tickets for the event are $40 per person or $75 per couple and may be purchased by calling (218) 338-2691 or (218) 998-5630. Make reservations by October 2.

Productive Alternatives serves people with disabilities in Alexandria, Brainerd, Fergus Falls, Little Falls, Moorhead, Parkers Prairie and Perham. It also provides detox and crisis stabilization services in Fergus Falls and public transit for Otter Tail County.
