An Alexandria woman fell off and was trampled by a horse on the Crow Wing River in Wadena County on Saturday, September 19.
Nikki Bazewicz was being pulled from the river by passersby near Huntersville Saturday when deputies arrived on the scene, the Wadena County Sheriff’s Department said.
She was treated on the scene by Menahga first responders and Tri-County Ambulance.
Deputies believe the horse lost its balance in the current of the river and fell on top of Bazewicz.
She was taken by ambulance to Tri-County Hospital in Wadena. The hospital would not release her condition.
