Long Prairie Memorial Hospital and CentraCare Clinic will present the 5th annual Harvest of Wellness, a community-wide health fair.

It will take place Thursday, October 1 from 2 to 7 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Long Prairie.

This free event offers more than 30 health exhibits. Each booth provides hands-on learning and an opportunity to become familiar with the many resources available for health, well-being and safety.

Health screenings include: blood pressure, body fat analysis, sports injury and fall risk screening, bone densitometry, hearing, blood glucose and cholesterol testing. All screenings are free.

Todd County Public Health will also be offering car seat inspections and education.

The LifeSource Mobile Learning Center (MCL) will have their interactive walk-through trailer designed to educate the public about the donation process, the benefits and need for organs, tissues and eyes in this region.

LifeSource representatives will be having a short presentation at 2:30 p.m. and then be on hand until 4 p.m. to take the public through the MLC and answer questions.

Other highlights include water nitrate testing from 2 to 5 p.m., medication reviews with the pharmacist, and meeting the two new physicians, Dr. Gundaji and Dr. Ferry.

A supper meal will be available and many chances to win great prizes including an LG swivel LCD portable DVD player, a Navigon GPS, a Sansa Fuze MP3 player, Minnesota Twins tickets and more.
