Marion June Holte, 59, died Monday, September 21, 2009 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, North Dakota.

Funeral services will be September 25 at 2 p.m. at Community Bible Church in Grygla. Burial will be at St. Olaf Cemetery in Grygla.

Visitation will be Thursday, September 24 from 5 to 8 p.m. with a 7 p.m. prayer service at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls and Friday at the church from 1 to 2 p.m.

Marion was born June 11, 1950 in Alexandria to Clifton and Olivia (Ellertson) Botner. She was baptized at East Moe Lutheran Church in Garfield and confirmed at First Lutheran Church in Alexandria. She attended school in Alexandria and graduated from high school in 1968. She then attended nursing school in Thief River Falls for two years and became licensed as a practical nurse. Marion then worked at Bethany Home in Alexandria for a short time.

She was united in marriage to Timothy Holte on April 18, 1970 at East Moe Lutheran Church in Garfield. To this union, five children were born, Trevor, Jonathon, Jeddah, Joshua and Jacklynn. With Tim serving in the United States Navy, they lived in Tennessee for a short time and in Maryland for three years, where Marion worked as a nurse.

In 1974 they made their home in Grygla. Marion worked at Northwestern Hospital in Thief River Falls and at REM in Roseau, and she also worked at various other jobs. She was a member of the Community Bible Church in Grygla, where she was very active in Release Time, Kids Club, vacation Bible school and Sunday school.

Survivors include her husband, Tim, of Grygla; children, Jonathan (Jenny) Holte of Powell, WY, Jeddah (fiancée, Monique) Holte of East Grand Forks, Joshua (fiancée, Amanda) Holte of Red Lake Falls, Jacklynn Holte of Grygla; grandchildren, Jordyn, Hunter, Haleigh, Makenzie and Nataya; parents, Clifton and Olivia Botner of Alexandria; brother, Robert (Kathy) Botner of Alexandria; sisters, Barbara (Jon) Johnson of Osage and Donna (Jody) Holte of Grygla; many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her infant son, Trevor; and her grandparents.
