Letter - Mean-spirited column
In response to Lowell Anderson’s incredibly mean-spirited column about the local peace vigils in the September 11 Echo, I can only suggest that if he considers himself to be a news reporter he actually talk to the people involved and not assume he already knows what their motives are.
To the editor:
In response to Lowell Anderson’s incredibly mean-spirited column about the local peace vigils in the September 11 Echo, I can only suggest that if he considers himself to be a news reporter he actually talk to the people involved and not assume he already knows what their motives are. And then I think it would be incumbent upon Mr. Anderson to do a follow-up column about the dedicated people who participate in those vigils – grandparents, teachers, veterans, clergy – and whose only purpose is to bring an end to the stupendous idiocy that is war masquerading as foreign policy.
