Prairie Lakes Co-op announces 2009-10 community grant program

Prairie Lakes Co-op recently announced its 2009-10 Community Grant Program. The grants and scholarships available through the Community Grant Program outline Prairie Lakes Co-op’s dedication to agriculture and rural communities, with the aspiration of addressing issues currently facing rural America.

Prairie Lakes Co-op recently announced its 2009-10 Community Grant Program. The grants and scholarships available through the Community Grant Program outline Prairie Lakes Co-op’s dedication to agriculture and rural communities, with the aspiration of addressing issues currently facing rural America.

Since 2006, Prairie Lakes Co-op has bequeathed more than $15,000 through the Community Grant Program to community organizations, local schools, 4-H clubs, ag classrooms/FFA and aspiring high school seniors for the purpose of fulfilling their commitment of supporting education and leadership programs that invest in the future of agriculture, cooperative business and rural America.

The 2009-10 Community Program focuses on five program areas, elementary and secondary education, FFA/ag classroom instruction, 4-H leadership and education, high school senior scholarships and returning value to rural America.

Prairie Lakes Co-op, a CHS Service Center, provides products and services in the agronomy, energy and grain markets to meet the needs of its patrons. Prairie Lakes Co-op has locations in the communities of Cyrus, Elrosa, Glenwood, Hoffman, Lowry, Long Prairie, Park Rapids and Starbuck, creating relationships with customers in agronomy inputs, propane, fuel and grain marketing.
