Moyle was tragically killed in the Sherburne County Jail on August 8, 2006 after being placed in a low-security area on a misdemeanor traffic charge. He was attacked by a prisoner, who later pleaded guilty to first-degree murder.
Moyle’s family and friends set up a memorial fund in his honor. Each year, there is a snowmobile run with a dinner and dance to raise funds to buy toys for children in need.
Larry Moyle, Carl’s father, who was instrumental in establishing the Carl Moyle Memorial Fund, passed away 21 months after Carl. The cookbook was put together by their family and friends in their memory.
Funds raised from the sale of the cookbook will be donated to children in need. The book costs $10 and is available at the Miltona Outpost. A check or money order can be sent to Carl Moyle Memorial Fund, 11254 County Highway 141, Eagle Bend, MN 56466. Include your name and address, along with $10 per cookbook and $2 for shipping and handling per cookbook.
