Alexandria JV results

JV football

St. Cloud Tech 33, Alexandria 0

JV1 volleyball

The Cardinal JV1 volleyball team defeated Sauk Rapids-Rice 2-1 Tuesday night, winning 25-22, 21-25, 15-5.

Middle hitters Brianna Johnson and Rachel Thompson put down 10 kills apiece.

Behind those kills were Laurel Thompson putting up nine set assists and Quinn Kragenbring putting up eight.

Defensively, Shanee Herd had a big role and provided the team with 13 digs.

Sam Brown did a nice job serving with three ace serves and nine points.

The Cards are now 3-0 in conference and 6-2 overall.

JV2 volleyball

The JV2 volleyball team beat Sauk Rapids Rice, winning the first two games.

The girls had continuous pass, set, hit plays, which gave them an easy win.

9th grade volleyball

The Alexandria A team defeated Sauk Rapids-Rice 25-20, 25-17 and 10-15.

Leading the A team with seven ace serves was Nicole Canavati.

Danielle Carlson contributed with six aces, Allie Noetzelman with five and Danielle Strater with four.

Jenni Wild had another great game as libero, leading the team with 12 digs. Carlson had six and Carli Homan had five digs each.

The Alexandria B team defeated Sauk Rapids-Rice 25-12, 25-21 and 15-8.

Leading the B team with four ace serves was Kendra Engebretson.

Teammate Kesha Johnson had three ace serves. Katie Burkey proved to be an asset in the back row with four digs.

JV2 girls’ soccer

The JV2 girls’ soccer team evened their season’s record to 2-2 with 6-0 victory over the visiting Willmar Cardinals.

Brynn Novotny started the scoring barrage with a hard shot from the right side with Jess Larum, Brenna Skinner, and Jess Syvrud rounding out the first half scoring.

In the second stanza, Jesslyn Fearing and Skinner completed the scoring. Skinner had two assists and Larum another to help the Cards’ cause.

On defense Ann Schneiderhan, Meghan Abrahamson, Ann Desautels and Amanda Radtke stood out.

JV1 girls’ soccer

The JV1 Cardinals thumped their counterparts from Willmar 7-0.

Leading the team was Kandi McCullough, who had a five-point night with three goals and two assists.

Also scoring for the Cards were Kine Berntson, Brooke Aaberg and Tara Peterson. Assists were provided by Emi Smith, Heidi Krueger and Tara Peterson.
