Speeding stop may have nabbed bank robbers near Frazee
In the late evening hours of Tuesday on Highway 10 east of Detroit Lakes, a state trooper stopped a vehicle for speeding. Upon further investigation it was learned there was a warrant, from the FBI, for the driver in relation to a bank robbery.

Upon further investigation it was learned there was a warrant, from the FBI, for the driver in relation to a bank robbery. A couple of individuals were taken into custody at the scene.
The vehicle was displaying Minnesota license plates but was discovered to be a stolen vehicle out of Florida.
The State Patrol was assisted at the scene by the Becker County Sheriff’s office, and the Detroit Lakes and Frazee police departments.
The State Patrol is continuing to assist the FBI with its investigation. The names of the individuals taken into custody are not being released at this time pending the filing of charges, according to a news release from the State Patrol.
