County Roads 42, 11 open
County roads 11 and 42, north of Alexandria, are now open.
County roads 11 and 42, north of Alexandria, are now open. This view shows a new section of County Road 11/34 looking south toward the intersection of County Road 42. The new roads unofficially opened last weekend. However, there is still work being done, including landscaping, striping and planting of rain gardens, according to Dave Robley, Douglas County Public Works director. He said motorists should watch out for road crews and be prepared for some delays until the work is completed. “Although the road is open, work will continue for awhile,” he said.
