The Alexandria U12 fastpitch team won the state amateur softball championship August 1-2.
The Alexandria U12 Fastpitch team took top honors in the Amateur Softball Association (ASA/USA) Minnesota Tournament, held August 1-2 in Willmar. The girls were undefeated in the 18-team tournament. Members include (back row, left to right) Coach Bob Cunniff, Amanda Haack, Brooke Swanson, Anna Lee, Courtney Bitzan, Jana Roste, Kendra Torgrimson, Coach Jeff Dewanz, (front row) Bria Schueler, Amy Jost, Carly Snell, Kaila Dewanz, Carly Dropik and Bailey Serum.
