It’s the season for summer celebrations and on Saturday, August 15, Garfield is the place to be.
It’s the season for summer celebrations and on Saturday, August 15, Garfield is the place to be.
The one-day event will feature citywide garage sales, the Common Threads Quilt Shop – Shop Hop, activities in the park and much more.
Here is a look at the schedule:
•7 to 11 a.m.: St. John’s pancake feed and rummage sale.
•Noon: Parade with children’s water ball fights to follow.
•2 to 5 p.m.: Stan’s Country Dutchmen, an old-time country polka band, will be playing at City Hall.
•2 p.m.: Firemen’s water ball fights.
•3 to 7 p.m.: St. Luke’s pie and ice cream social.
•4:30 p.m.: Kids’ tractor pull.
•4:30 to 7 p.m.: Firemen’s pork chop feed.
•9 p.m. to 1 a.m.: Killer Hayseeds will be playing at Fire Station Bar and Grill.
